Trapped in My Mind

An ongoing experimental by photographer Jonathan Tesoro and I.

Give me a cubic centimeter of your flesh and I could give you pain that would swallow you as the ocean swallows a grain of salt” - Jesus I. Aldapuerta

A project that was truly inspired, thought-out, and executed wholly. This is the coldest stage of our protagonist.

“ANML”
Art by Dilan Manahan
Some hype-work for the 2012 collection of my brand. I am not particularly anti nor pro religious, I believe the term angel is misconstrued. I think if you love wholly, experience with maximization, and enjoy gracefully, you are an angel, ANML’s are angels. *Type was vectored from scratch

“Lana”Photo-Manipulation by Dilan ManahanSubject: Lana Del Rey
A personal project for a Queen that is straight out of a film Noir. I am honored to add her to my collection of portraits for my favourite musical artists. This is a faux single cover that would include both of her big hits. I included elements from each song as well as adding my own symbolism to capture her character.

“Abel Remastered” *EOS editionVector Portrait by Dilan Manahan
I had started and finished the original piece in one day, and may have fell victim to being overly excited to release the piece before I was happy with it. So I took the time today to make the piece I wanted to make. I hope you like it and don’t forget to like/reblog while retaining credit.

The Fall

Laying on your bed,
Door closed, limbs crossed,
Pants on the floor,
We hit out hearts on the albatross,
You can’t tell me you don’t love me, now.

A scream later, a soul empty with ammo,
You dug nails and We spit out our teenage ego,
Walking away, blaring filth into our ears,
Clenching jaws just to hide the tears,
You can’t tell me you don’t love me, now.

Forgetful forgiveness and a faithless phone call,
Where your excuses were concrete,
“For only one to fly, the other must fall”
But beneath your feet, I could still hear your heavy heartbeat.
You can’t tell me you don’t love me, now.

I called you to the shop we never went,
With barricaded ears there were hours spent,
A kiss on the cheek was your only goodbye,
My memory was hideous, You never said why,
You can’t tell me you don’t love me, now.

* These pieces may not be the best way to save a sick soul, but a sick soul needs to scream somewhere.

In my opinion, the most heartbreaking audio recording of all time. Some of the best lyrics ever written sung by Jeff Buckley. Rest in Peace.

I’ve heard there was a secret chord
That David played, and it pleased the Lord
But you don’t really care for music, do you?
It goes like this
The fourth, the fifth
The minor fall, the major lift
The baffled king composing Hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Your faith was strong but you needed proof
You saw her bathing on the roof
Her beauty in the moonlight overthrew you
She tied you to a kitchen chair
She broke your throne, and she cut your hair
And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Baby I have been here before
I know this room, I’ve walked this floor
I used to live alone before I knew you.
I’ve seen your flag on the marble arch
Love is not a victory march
It’s a cold and it’s a broken Hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah

There was a time when you let me know
What’s really going on below
But now you never show it to me, do you?
And remember when I moved in you
The holy dove was moving too
And every breath we drew was Hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Maybe there’s a God above
But all I’ve ever learned from love
Was how to shoot at someone who outdrew you
It’s not a cry you can hear at night
It’s not somebody who has seen the light
It’s a cold and it’s a broken Hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah

You say I took the name in vain
I don’t even know the name
But if I did, well really, what’s it to you?
There’s a blaze of light in every word
It doesn’t matter which you heard
The holy or the broken Hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah

I did my best, it wasn’t much
I couldn’t feel, so I tried to touch
I’ve told the truth, I didn’t come to fool you
And even though it all went wrong
I’ll stand before the Lord of Song
With nothing on my tongue but Hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah

Written by Leonard Cohen, Performed by Jeff Buckley.
